SCB Lockout Pigtail

It looks like a cord. It's a controller.

The pigtail sits between the wall and the machine and decides whether power gets through. Inside the box is a microcontroller, a buck converter and a relay — it talks to the SCB Quality System over Wi-Fi, shows its state on a display in the lid, and logs every lock and unlock against the operator who did it.

The pigtail is a controller, not a cable — mains passes through a relay the microcontroller commands, and the quality system decides when it closes.

What's inside

Mains enters the box; the quality system decides when it leaves.

Mains enters through the cable gland and passes through a relay. A buck converter taps that supply and steps it down to run the microcontroller, which holds the relay open until the quality system says the required checks have passed. The display on the lid shows the current state and which input is still outstanding, so an operator standing at the machine knows why it won't start without walking back to a terminal.

Two variants

Two supply versions, same control logic.

SCB Lockout Pigtail — 120 V

Standard 120 V inline unit. Nothing to wire and nothing to modify on the machine — it goes in the cord path and the machine plugs into it.

SCB Lockout Pigtail — Stepped down

Same controller, same display, same quality-system link, with the output stepped down to your machine's supply voltage. Specify the voltage and current draw when you order and the unit is built to it.
